My cup runneth over

I can't describe in words how blessed I feel to have a happy healthy boy who makes me giggle every day! I went to dinner with my sister from another mister, Amanda. We were in a crowded and loud sushi restaurant and he decided " I'm just gonna have a nap now" so he did. What a treat!!!!! This boy is always so busy making a mess of my house, eating paper, pulling on the dogs ears and banging on everything, too busy for 5 seconds of snuggling, but yesterday... I had the pleasure of snuggling him while he slept through hustle & bustle & I even chowed down some kick ass sushi! And my boobies look great!
Thanks kiddo, I owe you one!

Easter on the farm

We drove out to Enderby for Jacob's first Easter. The last time he was on the farm he ate, pooped, and slept so this was all new to him. I sat him in the grass to play and crawl and he wasn't too happy, he wasn't too sure about that prickly stuff but as soon as he saw his bubba running around he decided it couldn't be that bad, so he took off. Grandma introduced him to the pecocks and the "kikens" and he was mesmerized by the loud screams from the peacocks and the clucking from the chickens. Grandma brought out some of Ryan's old toy cars and trucks to play with and she even made us a Easter egg scavenger hunt! A first for Jake and mama, and since Jake is too young for chocolate, mama & daddy had to eat it for him, tough job, but someone had to do it! All in all it was a nice weekend in the warm Okaganagan sun. Hi5s for sun and chocolate!

A chariot for my little chrub

I don't know when this bee was put in my bonnet but I've decided that I am going to start jogging again. I went out and spent some money on new runners so naturally I needed a good jogging stroller so Daddy and I went shopping!!! Oh how I love shopping!!! So we bought a "Chariot" which is such a suiting name. Here are my 2 favorite sleeping babes, the adorable Quinn and my little cherub

The Fam Jam in Red Deer

Jake has met his match!!! Mama's cousin Thea has a little guy named Lucas who is 3 months older. I loved watching them play with each other. Jake is used to being the bruiser, using other poor kids' heads for a bongo drum and then stealing their toys... but this Lucas!!! He's bigger and pushier, not surprising considering his mother is also known as the Hurricane! I can only hope that they have as many years of fun adventures and shenanigans as Thea and I did. It was so good to see you all in Red Deer! Love hugs n kisses to you all!

The little man

So somewhere along the way he has lost ALL the ity bity baby qualities that I loved and I miss them SO much. That tiny cry, the snuggles on the couch and I'd stare at him for hours. He'd sleep when he needed. I desperately miss the days when I could sit him down with a pillow behind him, surround him with his favorite toys and he'd still be there 10 minutes later, happy as can be. In a flash my baby has turned onto a toddler! WHEN did this happen??? ;( My little baby has turned into this wonderful little boy who is curious about the world around him, how it all works.

He's figuring out what different noises his body makes, he jumped the other day when he farted as thought to say "holy doddle that was me!" He loves making all sorts of noises with his mouth, he said "bubba" a few weeks ago, he noticed that he can make different noises by banging different things together and he notices noises the TV makes, the phone, the door bell. He likes to open and close everything from his eyes his hands, to doors of all kinds. He likes to hide things, under a blanket under his bum and magically finding them again! His new favorite game is to pass things back and forth I call it the "sharing game"
